Based onFelucca 0.9
Emulates / engines
  • All 9 Felucca 0.9 engines, fully playable in the browser (FM6/Dexed included)
  • The web synth's 54 factory presets and built-in samples, with chords and sustain
  • The same set on the connected device: the Studio UI edits the real FM-1

Felucca 0.9 with a browser Studio you can get lost staring at: pick “Browser” and you play the full synth without owning an FM-1; pick “FM-1” and the same interface edits the connected device. The virtual chassis has wood accents, molded surfaces, screws, and speaker grilles, with skins and themes. Its author, Chance Roth, is also an upstream Felucca contributor (TRS MIDI, bend/sustain/clock, palettes and favorites: PRs #8–#12).

Workflow

Try things out and tweak in the browser, then play live; patch management over the web. A good part of the site’s updates arrive without a reflash of the device.

Engines & what it emulates

The Felucca 0.9 engine set. The browser synth exposes 9 engines, 54 factory presets, and built-in samples, with chords, sustain, and expressive controls — a complete Felucca running where a gmail tab used to be.

What sets it apart

  • A live oscilloscope of the browser’s actual output, not a mockup.
  • 12 themes (Stage Red, Matrix, Vintage DX, Model D, Chocolate, Vaporwave…, in light/dark and high contrast); knobs or sliders, drag-to-reorder cards, full-width mode, a dockable keyboard (mouse/touch/QWERTY), and 8 UI languages.
  • On the device: expressive USB/TRS MIDI, clock sync with Start/Stop/Continue, preset favorites, and a MIDI monitor; the experimental Bluetooth code was left out of the build.

Status & caveats

Beta. The combined salt14 build “was not tested on hardware in this session” (the TRS change was: a fix for stuck notes from wired TRS MIDI, PR #2 by keremimo, tested with an Akai MPC Sample). The successor — the sloop_salt repo, created 10-06 with the Studio and a next-generation installer — still has no releases, and the migration to a SLOOP base is inferred from the repos’ statuses [unverified].
