A SLOOP fork in laboratory mode: Sloop_ALG stacks engines on top of the base — an approximate DX7 with two voices per track, VA, Karplus-Strong, pluck, additive — all the way up to 16 engines in the ALG-04 build. The README is in Chinese, it ships its own installer and web editor, and per Drey Andersson’s ranking none of this is verified on hardware.

What it does

The idea is accumulation. Where other firmwares curate their engine list, ALG piles its own up — if it runs, you’d have a SLOOP with plucked strings and an approximate FM added to the usual catalog.

Status

Upcoming, one star, and no license declared — not a minor detail: without a license the hub can’t mirror it, and nobody can fork it with legal peace of mind. Data as of 2026-10-09, like everything here. For the full family, the ecosystem.
