A live RPG adventure inside your FM-1 — seriously. FM1 Quest takes the SLOOP core and reskins it as a fantasy side-scrolling RPG: tracks are your party’s heroes, steps are attacks, BPM is how fast your character walks, scales are biomes, and loops are boss fights.
What it does
Under the costume it’s still a groovebox — it sequences tracks, you play them live, it makes sound. The mapping is the joke and also the interface: raise the BPM and you walk faster; change the scale and you change biomes. It comes with a web installer and a browser emulator, so the quest can be tried without owning an FM-1.
Status
Experimental, version undeclared, GPL-3.0, created October 6. It doesn’t qualify for the hub
yet — it’s missing a release with a .fwsc on GitHub — but it’s a natural candidate the
moment that drops. Of the batch of oddities (Doom ×2, this one,
REDACTED), it’s the one that keeps the most instrument underneath.
